This quote is a passage from the novel, “A Walk to Remember” by Nicholas Sparks. It is an example of foreshadowing and shows how the events in this story would unfold: The man walked in and sat down. He was older than me, about my dad's age. He was good-looking.
His hair was short, but the kind of short that was stylish, not spiky or anything. He had an olive complexion with some brown sprinkled in, nice eyes, and he smiled at me when he sat down. He ordered a hamburger and fries, then looked around for a waitress. Then I ordered a cheeseburger and fries. After he finished ordering, he asked me what I did for a living.
